We have now had 2 sessions with Rachel and the children have been busy designing the costumes and the set.
In the first session we looked at the characters from the story. In groups, the children have thought about all of the characteristics and personalitites of the characters and used these to develop the costume ideas. It all started with drawing round each other on huge sheets of paper on the floor!
In the second session the children used a version of cinderella to look for visual clues about the scenery that would be needed. Their ideas were recorded on a very long piece of paper! In pairs the children used the words to draw ideas for the set. These ideas were then shared with the rest of the group.
